About the Class
In this 2 day live course you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to provide massage therapy to infants 0-12 months of age. Upon completion of this unique class, you will become an Infant Massage Therapist. Unlike traditional infant massage training courses, this class allows massage therapists, chiropractors and physical therapists to work directly with this special population. Providing hands-on massage to babies while additionally having the opportunity to teach parents and caregivers.

Infant Massage Therapy and Technique Course (IMTT) is designed specifically for massage therapists, chiropractors and physical therapists who want to learn current, evidence-based strokes for babies 0-12 months of age. In this continuing education class, students will learn safe and appropriate application of massage needed to work hands-on with infants. In depth information covered includes infant anatomy, contraindications, history & benefits, communication and development. Strokes and techniques are illustrated along with guided application and demonstration. Who Should Attend
Massage Therapists, Chiropractors and Physical Therapists who want to expand their career by providing benefits to babies and their families through massage therapy.
All attendees must have a current certification or license in massage therapy
- Illustrated manual and up-to-date course materials
- Certificate upon full completion of class
- 14 CE's earned for Massage Therapists
Required Class Materials
- A doll sized 19-21 inches preferably a soft body with hands and feet
- Paper, writing utensils and/or an electronic device
- Arrive 15-30 minutes before the start time of the class for proper parking, sign in and seating
- Comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for sitting, standing and massage therapy
(Layers of clothing are also recommended since the temperature may vary in the classroom)
- A pillow, seat cushion, yoga mat etc. is acceptable to bring
- Snacks, hydrating drinks and a lunch are recommended
- Food locations are also available outside the studio for lunch
In order to provide hands-on therapy for infant clients and attend this class you MUST possess a current certification or license of massage therapy. This is a continuing education class designed to expand your practice.

About the Instructor
Joy Dua, LMT, CIMT, CPMT
Joy is a licensed massage therapist, certified pediatric massage therapist and a professional massage instructor with the Steiner Education Group. Internationally certified in infant massage, Joy has worked extensively for many years with a variety of babies ranging from normal development to medically complex infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Her unique and modern programs benefit massage therapists, parents, caregivers and child care professionals.
